Charlottesville, VA (April 18, 2025)—Rebel Records is thrilled to announce the release of multi-SPBGMA Award-winning The Kody Norris Show's latest single "In the Circle," which is available today on all digital and streaming platforms. This third single is from their upcoming new album Highfalutin Hillbillyset to drop on June 6. The group pays homage to the Grand Ole Opry for its 100th anniversary this year and to all of the legendary members of the famed institution who paved the way. Written by close friend and Grand Ole Opry square dancer, Larry Chunn, "In the Circle" paints a portrait of a young dreamer's perspective…bringing Kody’s story full “circle.” This single was premiered by Country Evolution.

The Kody Norris Show on their Grand Ole Opry Debut, August 9, 2023

"Our third single from our forthcoming album on Rebel Records features one written by my dear friend Larry Chunn,” shares Norris. “'In the Circle' is not your typical Opry tribute song but one that we feel shines a little different light on our journey to this hallowed circle. With a slower pace than what fans might typically expect from us, 'In the Circle' gives us the opportunity to paint a picture of our biggest musical dream coming true…and just in time to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry!”

In July of 2023, Chunn was in the audience at The Ryman Auditorium when Rhonda Vincent surprised The Kody Norris Show with an invitation to make their Grand Ole Opry debut the following month. After the show, Kody and Mary Rachel were talking to Chunn on the phone and suggested he write a song about a musician's perspective of finally making it to the stage where so many of their heros have stood, The Grand Ole Opry. Mary Rachel shares, "Within the hour, Larry called back and had written this song, and we knew it was meant for us in so many ways! Not only was it a true testament of our highs and lows but also so many little details that were factual about Kody's childhood...that at the time Larry would have known nothing about!"

"In the Circle" features Kody Norris on guitar and lead vocals with banjoist Josiah Tyree adding his high lonesome harmony vocals. Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris plays mandolin and fiddle along with Jason Barie who plays harmony fiddle. Tony Creasman adds percussion while Charlie Lowman rounds out the group keeping perfect time on bass.

ABOUT THE KODY NORRIS SHOW

While the reigning SPBGMA Entertainers of the Year are known for the rhinestones that shine from their lapels and the fringe that hangs from their collars that seems to conjure up memories of times gone by, The Kody Norris Show is very much directing their gaze forever forward. The four-piece bluegrass band is made up of frontman Kody Norris on guitar, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris playing both fiddle and mandolin, banjo ace Josiah Tyree, and Charlie Lowman on the bass. The Kody Norris Show’s album All Suited Up (2021) charted at #7 and Rhinestone Revival (2023) at #8 on the Billboard Bluegrass chart, and their trademarked high-energy style delivers an unrivaled live show experience. To date, The Kody Norris Show has performed at the Grand Ole Opry multiple times, leaving the stage with a standing auditorium. In addition, the band has played the Ryman Auditorium, SiriusXM, and other stages worldwide.
